I DECLARE WAR

     We are living in a fallen, dying world. As Christians, we cannot live by the statutes of this world, but we must push toward God. GOD says don't hate, but the world says get revenge. GOD says homosexuality is not okay, but the world is fighting to make same sex marriage legal. There are many other things that the world pushes on its agenda that God is dead set against (greed, fornication and adultery, pride, lust, selfishness, etc...). 

     In Romans, GOD tells us to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. We must declare war on the enemy. Once we confess we receive Jesus, we died (to the world) with Him, and we also rose with Him. We no longer think the same. His Spirit is in us now, and we should now produce the fruits of His Spirit if we are His. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law." (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV)... Not the works of our own flesh: "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:19-21 KJV)

     We have to push to renew our mind because the world is constantly in our eyes, ears, smell, taste, and touch. It's easy to be worldly and conform to its statues, but we must relearn/reteach ourselves with the things of God. That means we have to search for the things of God. If we aren't keeping God's statutes, then He calls you His enemy. That's how bad it is. We can't call ourselves Christians and not like the things of God, then we aren't Christian at all. We have to strive and God really does know our heart, but in some cases that's not such a good thing. Be real about your relationship with God Christian. Are you pursuing Him as you should? Is your life reflecting Christ?  Evaluate yourself and be humble about it. We are naturally prideful, so try to put pride aside. When you come to the place where you are poor (humble) in spirit and you realize how desperately you need God and you long for Him. Your soul desires Him! That's the place He needs you to be. He can use someone like that because He know you aren't about making your owns plans and making your own way, but you are fully surrendered to Him and to His plans. "Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord. Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways. Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently. O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes! Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments. I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." (Psalms 119:1-11 KJV)

P.S. In order to hide His word in your heart (v11), you must actually know His Word. He tells us how to live and behave as Christians- His commandments and statues. We're in a war, and we must declare war on the enemy! We have to fight for the Kingdom of Righteousness.
