Sin defined

Sin Defined Attention: This isn't about a long list of sins, which I'm sure even non believers can write out. The purpose of this blog is to help you to understand what sin really is. I will provide a short list though.  First thing first, let's get this clear.. no matter who you are, you are a sinner (Romans  3:23 ). I know, it's heartbreaking, but there is good news too- some of you may already know the Good News! So, if you are a human, you have fallen short of the glory of God. We (humankind) all have. We can't say he's a sinner and she's a sinner without saying, I'm a sinner.  Second, if you say you have fellowship/relationship with God and still live in sin, you are a liar, a hypocrite! Those aren't the words of a mere human being. They were inspired by God Himself. "So if we say we have fellowship with God, but we continue living in darkness, we are liars and do not follow the truth." (1 John 1:6 NCV)  So now that those two truths ab...

Sin & judgement

As a Christian, you must get to the point that you hate sin. Sin must become a disgust. Why? First, it's the reason Jesus came back- to save the world from sin. Second, if you don't hate it, then you will find yourself constantly in some sort of sin. Third, you can't be okay with some sins and let others go. You must understand that sin is sin and you must hate ALL sin. (The sin you don't hate may be the sin you end up in or open a door for some other sin.)     Notice I did not say to hate anyone (a person who is the sinner). We would then have to hate our own selves because we are all sinners. This come from God Himself, He said if we say we have no sin, we are liars and the truth is not in us. Truth of the matter is, we have all sinned and fallen short of God's glory (Romans 3:23)      So why bother, why hate sin? Because we are told not to live sinful lives. Where sin abounds, grace much more abound (Romans 5:20). We all have the power to overco...

I DECLARE WAR

We are living in a fallen, dying world. As Christians, we cannot live by the statutes of this world, but we must push toward God. GOD says don't hate, but the world says get revenge. GOD says homosexuality is not okay, but the world is fighting to make same sex marriage legal. There are many other things that the world pushes on its agenda that God is dead set against (greed, fornication and adultery, pride, lust, selfishness, etc...).       In Romans, GOD tells us to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. We must declare war on the enemy. Once we confess we receive Jesus, we died (to the world) with Him, and we also rose with Him. We no longer think the same. His Spirit is in us now, and we should now produce the fruits of His Spirit if we are His. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law." (Galatians 5:22-23 KJV)...
