Letter of Love

Dear Child of the Most High God, 

This is a letter to you to remind you that you are loved. God loves you sooo much that your mind can't fully comprehend His love towards you. The closer you draw to Him, the more you understand His love. In a world full of hate and distrust, it's hard to trust in Him. It's hard to give your devotion to Him. Just know that in the good times and the bad, HE IS THERE! He is there in the loving embrace of a mother or the kind words of a friend. Though people may fail you, God is always there. He will never leave nor forsake you. Trust Him! 


Prayer: Father, douse me in Your love. Let me be consumed by You. If there be anything that is hindering me from drawing close to You, remove it far from me. Lord, I give you my all. Lead me by Your truth. Help me to live a life worthy of saying "Imitate me as I imitate Christ." Just as Christ loves me, let me love others. Give me grace to walk in love, even when I don't feel like it. Father, I love You! Thank You! All glory and honor belongs to You. In Jesus Name, Amen.

A song by LeCrae that puts emphasis on how we are sometimes influenced by the world. Media (social and entertainment) has a very big impact on how we live our lives whether we realize it or not. It plays a bigger role in our decision making process than we care to admit.  If you think about it, most Christians spend more time watching television and listening to music than spending time in their bible, so it's really not surprising that the church is beginning to look more and more like the world. *I took some of the lyrics out to put emphasis on some parts. Freedom

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?” Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. “And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. (John 8:32-36 NKJV) We are free because we know this truth -Jesus came so that we may be free from sin. When we grasp this truth, we are set free. We are no longer slaves that are bound to sin, but through grace we are made sons and daughters of God. We are free from bondage. We no longer are slaves to homosexuality, fornication, adultery, back-biting, impure thoughts, disobedience, hopelessness, and the list goes on. We are now ambassadors for Christ. Who the Son sets free is free indeed- to do a work that will bring glory to His name.
